Dr. Fred Naraghi's mission is to improve spinal care for back and neck pain in a compassionate environment with precision and the latest technological care for everyone, in alignment with Healthcare sytems.
He is a double board-certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon with over 20 years of experience and is an expert in treating complex neck and back spinal and neurosurgical problems from C1 to Sacrum, front, side, and back.
He performs minimally invasive as well as complex spine surgeries including disc replacement, non-fusion and fusion surgeries, spinal injections, spine spacers, anterior posterior fusions, laminoplasty, Kyphoplasty for fractures, spinal cord injury surgery, as well as complex spine trauma, and spinal tumors.
He is Board-Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery.
Dr. Naraghi completed his Spine Surgery fellowship specialty training at the San Francisco Spine Institute. Following his internship in Surgery at UCLA, he completed his Orthopedic Surgery training at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, where he received the Vernon-Thompson Award from the Western Orthopedic Association for his outstanding research on the functional outcomes of nail versus plate fixation of severe open distal femur fractures. During his training in Orthopedic Surgery, he was nominated to the Honor Medical Society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
His medical school training was at the New York Medical College where he graduated in the top quarter of his class. He received his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley.
Fred grew up in Oakland, CA. He is a big fan of the outdoors and enjoys hiking and running.
